I want to write a novel. Any point writing a book proposal if...?
I'm writing a novel for the first time. I read that some authors write book proposals to editors (including the plot, characters, why they should consider your book, etc.) before they have even written it?
Is it only established authors that are able to do this? If you have no experience in the business, is it better to write the whole novel and then send it off?

An agent saw some of my work and liked it,asked me to write
a book proposal. It's non-fiction,a subject I know well and I have
no idea how long it's going to take to do this. Anyone?

For my book proposal: Why do you like to read books about interesting people?
I'm writing a book proposal where I will be interviewing a series of interesting people in a certain discipline. These are people who both helped found and create the field, and who today are taking it in exciting directions.

What does it mean to write a proposal for a book review?
MY teacher did not explain to the class what its about..but i emailed her and this is what i got.
You will need to turn in a proposal for your book review. The book you choose may be fiction or non-fiction. The only qualification is that it is a book you actually want to read. The proposal should include the title and author of the book and a brief explaination as to why you want to read it.
Can someone give me an example?
