What exactly should a book proposal include?
When sending to a literary agency. Thanks. @ Joss- sorry i THOUGHT i was being asked for a book proposal but thankfully I'm not :) I need to send them a synopsis and three to four sample chapters. Should I still send a query letter with this? (it doesn't specify) and if so what should i include in it now that my synopsis is seperate?

Can I send out my book proposal to editors even before I actually wrote my manuscript?
Write the query letter and send it, then wait for a reply and then actually start the whole writing process. I'm not interested in hearing whether this is right or wrong. I just want to know if it's doable. Thanks.
