Can anyone give me a sample book proposal Basically need a book proposal by tomorrow...I'm not a writer!!!
Need help please!!!
Can you submit a book proposal without first writing the book Will an idea and sample chapter sufficeI have a book idea and I started writing it, but I really have no idea whether or not it will appeal to anyone. I have no sense of how interesting these aspects of my life may or may not be.
I wish to keep this project a secret until it is truly underway and have no one to pre-read it (at least no one that I can trust to be brutally honest). Can I submit a sample chapter and book proposal to agents or should I have the final work complete first? I would hate to spend so much time writing a book that no one will ever want to read.
Also, please note that I do not think my idea is a bad one or I would not press forward with it. I just have no concept of what will be interesting for others to read.
Thanks!

Project Summary
Please use this space to provide a description of your research in a way that could be used for a general – i.e. non-expert – readership. (Maximum 100 words.)
In this section you should try and explain, in clear terms, what questions are being investigated, and how they are being examined.
Here is an example:
This project investigates the ethnic identity of villains in cartoon books. It will compare samples of books from 1964, 1984 and 2004, in order to discover whether there have been significant shifts in the range of identities portrayed. Our hypothesis is that in the wake of the events of 9/11 there may well have been an increase in the proportion of villains of apparent Middle Eastern origin. The findings of content analysis and text analysis will be tested out on focus groups in order to examine the extent to which diverse groups make the same readings of representations of villains.
Research project description
Please describe in no more than 500 words the scheme of research which you propose, using the following sub-headings: research question(s) or problem; aims & objectives; research context
This section requires a fuller project description.
Research Questions: Start by explaining the research question(s) or problems that the research addresses. You should aim to establish the relevance and significance of examining this question; in other words that it is a question to which it is worth knowing the answer. Drawing on your knowledge of existing work on the media will help here. Try looking at recent issues of media journals such as Media Culture and Society, Screen, Convergence, or the European Journal of Communication for ideas.
Aims and Objectives: Outline what it is that you want to achieve in this research, and how you propose to achieve it. Save the detail on method for the next section, but feel free to mention methods.
Research context: You ought to be aware of some existing work on the topic you are investigating. This doesn’t require a full literature review, but credit will be given for reference to some existing research. The overviews in some recent collections or general introductions to media can be helpful sources. See for example, Marris and Thornham, Stokes and Reading, Curran and Seaton.
Research methods:
Use this section to describe the methodologies that you will use, in no more than 1000 words. You should identify the methods by description (e.g. text analysis, content analysis, interviews, survey; etc) and then go on to outline in detail how you will carry out the research.
Start by identifying the type of method/s you propose to employ. You can just propose one single method; in which case more detail will be ex
Need help with Citation on Research PaperI'm working on a research proposal and need a little help with my citation. I have a book that was written by 3 authors, but the book is mainly composed of scholarly articles that were written by others, for example, the book was written by Loring, Geffner, and Marsh, but one of the articles that i'm using is by Onyskiw. How in the world do I cite this in my paper?
Also, all of the articles that I'm using have other authors cited... I'm so confused as to how to cite something like this.
Before you say that I should be coming up with my own ideas, the assignment was to compile other people's research into a paper then come up with a way that I could sample the information.
I'm not too sure if it matters, but the paper has to be written in APA style.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Thanks! That helps with my citation page, but how do I cite it in my actual paper?!
I39m having trouble writing a proper paper please helpSo I'm applying as a mature student to a university, I havent been in school for 3 years, but my application portfolio requires 3 samples of writing. I am entering a fiction peice I wrote, a published peice, but I would like to write 2 more.
My choices are:
a summary of a longer essay,
a research report or proposal, an essay or paper you wrote in high school/post-secondary institution,
a piece of writing done for a volunteer organization,
aletter to an editor or a public official,
an opinion piece,
a book review,
a journal entry,
or any published text.
I want to use Bipolar as a topic.
I was trying to do an essay or a research report, but I dont know the difference really between the two.
Also, I can't think of a good thesis, I dont plan on an arguement sort of essay, but thats the only kind I can recall from high school.
What is an example or method to writing an opinion peice?
I need some help brainstorming about bipolar disorder.
What want to do is explain the condition, the science behind it, maybe add some statistics, mention some famous people with the disorder, and what it means to me and my family.
Does that sound good? What else could I use, add or change? Is there a particular order I should do these paragraphs in? Using that, what TYPE of paper would that make it (essay, research, opinion peice etc.) ??
Any other help will be greatly appreicated, thank you so much for your time :)
