Where can I find a comic book literary agent or agency

Novel writers have agents who submit work to publishing companies, and can be found in guides such as Writer's Market, but I haven't found any agents or agencies who submit to comic book companies. If they exist, they're very secretive. Where would I find information on locating them? Are there any websites or directories for locating literary/creative agents that might be involved in comics or graphic novels?

Can Literary Agents help with a selfpublished books distribution

I need some help finding distribution opportunities for my newly-printed self-published comic books. Is this something that certain literary agents can do, since they know the book world quite well. Or are there other types of professionals that can assist with this? I am trying to keep this query pretty high-level at the moment, even though I have a niche product. But if anyone has knowledge of comic book distribution, outside of the traditional comic shops, I would like to hear from you.

How find which literary agent handled a particular book

How can i find out what literary agent handled a particular book? Is there a way of doing this en masse? For example find out which agents handled a list of a dozen books? I am *NOT* looking to find a literary agent. I looking to find the specific person (agent) who handled a specific book. Perhaps a reference book of some kind that list what agents handled which books?

At what point in time should I contact a literary agent about a book project

I am currently writing a book that I'd like to have published through traditional channels. I am disinterested in self-publishing. That said, I have heard conflicting reports on when to start contacting literary agents. Must I have a finished project or can I complete a large bulk of it and send portions of it in with the proposal? Thanks in advance.

Is it a good idea to seek literary agents in and out of my home state

I live in New York but am currently looking to move into Northern California in January or February. I want to look for a literary agent for my novel length manuscript. The only thing is i don't know where i'll be living in the near future. Is it advisable to have a book agent from another state or should i really try to stay with the ones in my area? I would prefer to look in both CA and NY options but am not sure if having an agent so far away is a good idea. Thanks !

Need a good Literary Agent for new age book on the law of attracton

So many Book agents on the web have bad reviews, I would like the name of a company that is a good one.

can anyone recommend literary agents for a first book

For some background, i am 14 years old and i live in the philippines. I wrote a 117,000 word fantasy novel with a friend (who is currently editing). I want to have a list of agents that will most likely represent my work and also myself. If you're read Eragon (don't like the author much), i think you would have an idea of the plot structure, but our book, Legion of Fire, is very different in the characters, setting etc. It is some kind of cross between a sci-fi and a fantasy novel. We plan to beat Paolini in terms of age. Really need help . . . fast.

Which is better The Writers Market or Jeff Herman39s Guide to Book Publishers Editors Literary Agents

I have written a nonfiction book Now I need a literary agent What about the query

I have read the Writers Market books, Guide to Literary Agents and searched through Preditors and Editors and AgentQuery. However, my concern is the query letter. I need to polish it up, those books help, but they don't tell me how to write a fabulous query letter. Being that I have never published a book before, my writing credits on the letter come out dry. What can I do to polish my letter or where can I find an excellent sample? Or a website with samples or good advice?
