can i self publish an ebook by myself and not go through a publishing website or pay anyone money? just do everything myself. please be as detailed as possible, i have no idea on how to turn my writing into an ebook and get it on the web. also, can anyone illustrate a childrens book?
All Answers To QuestionsAnswer 1
Oh course if you turn it into an ebook, it will be nonprofit. Just start your own website and post it there, even simpler post it on some forums. Type the words into Microsoft Word or Adobe Reader. As for the illustrations ask a Photoshopper to do those for you, or you may do them yourself. Hope this helps. Answer 2
microsoft publisher. Or you can type it the way you want and put pictures that way. Answer 3
Adobe's Acrobat software can generate a .PDF file for you to put on a website. They also offer an online .PDF converter that can make the document for you (from another file).
You can setup a website for the book using Blogger or Vox. Additionally, you can join Lulu or Blurb to design and publish the book for real.
I would suggest searching/posting to Craigslist.org for the illustrator. << GO BACK to questions
