How long is the average book in manuscript form?

I'm writing a book using MS Word and would like to know how long a typical book is in that format. I know your average "book" book is around 300+ pages. What does that equate to in manuscript?

you should go by word count actually Answer 2
300 pages x 250 words per = 75000 word per book ... thats the word count depending on how u format that it should be around there ... go by ur word count not ur page count because formatting drastically alters the pages ... i like to use 1.5 inch margins all around and it comes close all around to 250 words in Arial and TNR << GO BACK to questions
