How do I get my book proposal, based on my blog http://5kidswdisabilities.wordpress.com published?

I have an amazing life raising 5 kiddos with disabilities and I've written a book about myself and the kids. It is heartwarming, humorous (REALLY!!) insightful, sad, and really really good! (I am usually modest, but I really have to recommend you check it out!) Thanks for any help you can give me. Lindsey

Go to Google and check out "book publishers." You will get a couple hundred of them. Look through them to find ones who publish books of the kind you have written. Send those publishers a query letter, describing your book and asking if they'd be interested. (The letter should not be more than one page.) If/when you get a positive response, you're on your way! BTW, don't be discouraged if you don't get any positive responses at present. The recession in the book industry is so bad, I'm not sure any of the mainstream publishers would go for The Bible if it was presented to them as a new book. Really, sales are horrendous -- if this recession ever ends, and anyone is alive at the end of it, that will be the time to jump in and capitalize on the pent-up demand. Your book sounds like a great idea -- good luck with it.
