The best rule is you can submit proposals to as many as possible, but complete manuscripts to only one at a time. Answer 4
Their guidelines will tell you whether they want to be "exclusive" or not.
If you really think you're likely to have multiple publishers out of your very first batch interested (and the chances of this are almost zero), I'd recommend you get an agent first to handle it. You should have no problems getting one if your book is that good. << GO BACK to questions
