Can Literary Agents help with a self-published book's distribution?
|
I need some help finding distribution opportunities for my newly-printed self-published comic books. Is this something that certain literary agents can do, since they know the book world quite well. Or are there other types of professionals that can assist with this?
I am trying to keep this query pretty high-level at the moment, even though I have a niche product. But if anyone has knowledge of comic book distribution, outside of the traditional comic shops, I would like to hear from you.

No, absolutely not. Literary agents never touch self published books. They are not considered publishing credits and there is no real money in it for them. A literary agent's job is to sell a book to a publisher. That is it.
What you need is a marketing firm. And that costs money. You can find some in Literary Marketplace - which you can find in the library. Pax-C << GO BACK to questions
